Websters in utero technique |
|
|
Websters in utero technique is for pregnant women who have a breech presentation in the last trimester of pregnancy. This can be dangerous and lead to an unnecessary cesarean (c-section) surgery. Although c-sections are becoming more common, they are still considered a major surgery and can be dangerous for the mother and baby.
Westers in utero is designed to relieve intra uterine constraint (tension) and allow the baby to roll into position. This is a simple non-invasive procedure that can have dramatic affects for a child and mother.
This technique is not cephalic inversion. Cephalic inversion is much more invasive and can be painful and cause bruising. Websters in utero is very gentle and causes no pain.
I have used this technique successfully many times, and recommend that anyone who has a breech baby should give this a chance before surgery.
